Challenge #57: Masculine

Welcome back, Users!

Before we begin with our next challenge, we just want to take a minute to thank each and every one of you who applied on our recent Design Team call. We received so many very talented entries and we truly appreciate your interest.

Our challenge theme this week is MASCULINE. With Father's Day coming up in less than a week, we thought it appropriate to celebrate the men in our lives.
However, you don't have to make a Father's Day card...just make it masculine.

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday June 21, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE057 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Let's see what the Design Team has created for you this week:

Sherri's take on this week's theme was to go heavily on the blues and pop it with some lime green. The washi tape she used is a couple of years old, as is the brad, wooden star, journaling spot and alphabets.

Nicole hopes she hit the masculine note with this one. The Maggie Holmes/Crate Paper collection has been lovingly cherished since she bought it many moons ago and the border stamp from Studio Calico has been un-inked for about 6 months.

Stephanie flagged down a winner of a layout using her hoarded "Out and About collection. Super cute!!

Danielle pulled some American Craft papers from her stash and made this Father's Day card. She also went dotty with her extensive collection of enamel dots.

Tracy used scraps of her My Mind's Eye "Tres Jolie" paper collection, which is about 6 years old. All she had left were large strips, but she made them work on this great layout!

Stacey created this cute gift tote for the best Dad in her life! The patterned paper, sentiment tag and hemp cording are all from her stash.

Tammy use some scraps to make the banner winding across her layout. The stickers are so old, she doesn't even remember where they came from! And, the picture subject may have celebrated his 1st birthday a few years ago, so those are hoarded too!!

Heather made this masculine card using a stamp set that hasn't been out of the box for awhile, some ribbon scraps floating around her craft desk and a large orange button that came in a package and fell into the "what am I going to do with this" category.

And, last but never least, our Guest Designer for this challenge is Michelle. Michelle was our winner from our "You Can't Touch This" challenge and she's back for another challenge with a layout using hoarded Echo Park papers and some chipboard letters from K&Co. Great layout, Michelle!

We can't wait to see your projects! Get Going, Use It!!

Challenge #56: WINNERS!!!

Another great "Anything Goes" challenge at Use It Tuesday!! We were so inspired by each of the 118 entries that graced our page this past two weeks. Thank you!

Whio did Inlinkz pick this week? It's none other than Gale, with her adorably cute baseball card. Gale twine an a button from her craft stash this week, meeting our "Use It" challenge requirements.

Gale, congratulations to you and here is the winner's badge for you to grab for your blog.

Whenever we d our "Anything Goes" theme, it always makes it very difficult for our DT to pick our top 2 for the challenge. So many beautiful entries to look at!! In the end, here's what we chose:

Lizzie R got us all geared up with excitement to see her layout entry this week. Lizzzie used a kit that's been in her stash for a couple of years now to spread her wings and try a masculine layout. Love it!!

And, Kari Ann made these super adorable cards for her students using papers from her "ugly" stash. Well, ugly no more! The cards look fantastic!!

Such fun projects, ladies! Congratulations and here is the Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.
Thanks for playing!!

See you Tuesday for another opportunity to Use It!!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Since it's Anything Goes, there's lots of variety in our DT projects this week. Here's what we created just for you:

It's Christmas in May with Sherri's beautiful layout. She's been hoarding the remnants of this Crate Paper Peppermint collection for 2 years now. She also came across these photos from Christmas 2010 and had to scrap them right away! The Christmas tree flair button and both pins are also 2 years old.

Stacey went with a celebration more appropriate to this time of year....graduation!! The floss used to tassle up this beauty has been in her stash for more than 10 years and the brad is at least 4 years old.

Stephanie created a greeting card for us this week. The images have been waiting for their turn at the ink pad for over a year and the paper is from a collection that has barely been touched!

Tracy went vintage with this layout....vintage look and vintage craft supplies!! Everything on the layout, aside form the photo, has been in her stash for 4 years or longer!

Danielle also created a card for this challenge, using beautiful scraps and an uninked stamp.

And, Heather went out of her comfort zone and made a scrapbook layout. The fabric thickers on this page are YEARS old. Same with the journaling tag. And, the butterfly and bows were handmade embellishments given to her as a gift last Christmas.

An easy theme this week with great inspiration...Get Going, Use It!!

Challenge $55: Winners!!!!

We really hope you loved working with those special hoarded items this week with our "You Can't Touch This" challenge.

Inlinkz wishes it could make everyone happy this week, but alas, it's instructions are only to pick one winner. So, Michelle Price is the lucky winner that will return to Use It Tuesday as a Guest Design Team member for a future challenges. Congrats, Michelle!

Here is the winner's badge for you to grab for your blog.

And here are our the Top 2 Design Team picks for Challenge #55:

Kelly O made this great layout. We really liked how she dug into her photo box to find some 30 year old pictures to scrap. Wow! She also used her Basic Grey Hopscotch papers that are several years old.

And, Nehal made these gorgeous quilled earrings. She's hoarded the metal earring loops for awhile and found courage to try them out with our challenge. We're glad you played with us, Nehal!

Congrats, ladies! Here is the Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.

Challenge #55: You Can't Touch This!!

Welcome to our 1st May challenge, Users!
In addition to this week's challenge, we also have some information listed at the bottom of the post about our DESIGN TEAM CALL!  Be sure to check it out...we LOVE when our players apply!

The great thing about challenges is that sometimes they ask you to create outside your comfort zone...we sure hope you don't shed any tears over this one!
Our challenge this week is called "You Can't Touch This" and we want you to break into that craft supply that you LOVE SO MUCH that you've been avoiding using.
Come on, you can do it!! You bought that paper, or flowers, or bling because it SPOKE to you....so pull it off the shelf and make some magic with it!!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday May 24, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE055 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here's what our DT cried over this week:

Stacey made a care package for her daughter, whose working on her school finals. She has a stash of these adorable nugget tins and hesitates to use them (because then they'd be gone!!). She also had this adorable paper, several years old, and a stamp sentiment that has never been inked.

Sherri used her beloved Jillibean Soup corrugated alphabet sheet that she's had for 3 years (maybe more?). Sherri also dug into her stash of My Mind's Eye Kraft boarders that have been hanging around and just won't go away! Three made it onto this page...only a few more left!

Tracy loves these patterned papers, 12x12 die cut sheets by Teresa Collins...she even keeps them in a special "Favorite Papers" place in her scrap room. She also adorned this beautiful layout with a piece of lace that she's had for over 4 years and has never touched.

Stephanie made this adorable mini album from a template she bought 2 years ago. Like most favorites, she was waiting for the PERFECT occasion/theme to use it up...it's a good thing our challenge came along!

Danielle went vintage this week with this beautiful showpiece for a very special picture. This mixed media canvas using supplies, papers and embellishments from her stash shows off this circa 1930's family photo.

Tammy only had 3 pages of this Kaisercraft Madame Boutique paper, so she hoarded it very closely. All the other elements also come from her stash and the picture is from another layout (where it didn't look quite right).

Nicole dug into a BoBunny collection that she didn't want to touch. In the spirit of the challenge, she was a brave crafter and forced herself to use the ENTIRE collection over the last week (Eeek!!). Additional hoarded items are the 6x6 papers taken from a variety of paper packs and a pack of unopened wood veneers.

And our Guest Designer this week is Jessica, who won our "Flowers for Mom" challenge a few weeks ago. Jessica made this sweet card box with papers that she bought when she first started scrapbooking 4 years ago. The five cards in the box were also made with papers from her stash and she also used some pink embossing powder she bought over a year ago and hasn't used yet!

Your turn and we can't wait to see it....Go Use It!!

Challenge #54: WINNERS!!

There were some fantastic projects this week in our "Flowers for Mom" challenge.
Thank you for the great variety!

Inlinkz was on the hunt for something special this week and found this "You're Special To Me" Mother's Day card, which also featured flowers.
Jessica was the artist for this beauty and used her hoarded Echo Park paper for the project.

Jessica, we hope you'll come back soon and join us as a Guest Designer for an upcoming challenge. Here's your winner's badge for your blog. Congrats!

And here are our the Top 2 Design Team picks for Challenge #54:

Congratulations to Becky T with her nifty box card. Becky cleared her stash of some stickers and also found a "under used" border punch for her project.

And a second congratulations to Chana with this elegant card. Chana really dug to the bottom of her stash for this one using bling that's been around for awhile, yellow flowers that "just happened" to be in the right spot at the right time and some beautiful Graphic 45 papers that were hard to cut into!

Congrats, ladies! Here is the Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.
Thanks for playing!!

We have another 5 week month, so that means Use It Tuesday takes a short break this week and returns on May 14th (the 2nd Tuesday of the month). We'll see you back here soon!

Challenge #54: Flowers for Mom

Happy Tuesday, Users!

As we come into the latter part of April we know that the warm weather, flowers and sunshine are just around the corner....
It's also a time to celebrate the special Mom's in our lives, whether they be ours or someone else's. : )

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday May 3, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE054 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here's a look at the DT projects for the week:

Danielle documented that special pre-motherhood time with a photo from her cousin's pregnancy photo shoot. She used an Echo Park collection that she's had for about a year and was completely untouched. She also added some tags, pins, buttons and canvas butterflies that were in her stash too.

Stacey went with the "flowers" and "Mother's" themes with this gorgeous Mother's Day creation. The flowers on the card are at least 3 years old!

Tracy created this insightful layout about her Mother and all the wonderful lessons her Mom passed onto her. The patterned papers are only about a year old now, but did come from the scrap bin. The sticker letters and numbers, however are all over 6 years old. The blue ones are so old, they were no longer sticky and needed a little extra adhesive help!

Stephanie made this simple beauty with her Bo Bunny Jazmyne paper (about 2 years old). She also handmade the flower embellishments using paints from...not her stash, but her kids...that's over 10 years old!

Tammy wrote out her thoughts on Motherhood in this layout celebrating her son, born 4 years ago. Everything came from her stash, including "paper so old I don't even know who makes it!". What a fantastic memory piece!

Sherri used a Crate Paper collection that is at least 2 years old, but also added in some Petaloo flowers that have been in her stash almost as long!

Heather used some "very old" flower stickers. It was a big package and it was time to use it up and make room for more hoarded things. She also used paper and ribbon from a card kit that's been in her craft room for almost two years now.

And this week we have TWO Guest Design Team members for you:

Rina was our winner from our diecuts and punches challenge several weeks ago. She put some amazing detail into her project that week and is back again with an equally detailed creation. Rina tells us she has an extensive craft room and "all" the supplies are many years hoarded!

And Janis won our All About Spring challenge. She's back this week with a cute and adorable purse fold card using some great spring papers and flowers that have been in her stash for over 2 years!! Simply adorable, Janis! Thanks for playing with us again.

Your turn and we can't wait to see it....Go Use It!!
