Challenge #58: Bring on the Sunshine!

Happy Tuesday, Users!

June is almost over. The kids will be out of school and we're all hoping for a FABULOUS summer! This week, we're celebrating that bright star that warms our days with a challenge we call...
BRING ON THE SUNSHINE!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your bright and sunny entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday July 5, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE058 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

This is a special and sad week for us here at Use It Tuesday. Our 2nd challenge in June always marks the end of a Use It Tuesday Design Team term and we will be saying good-bye to some people that have brought us so much joy and sunshine over the past six months. We want to thank those that are moving on for all their efforts and beautiful creations. Thank you for being our sunshine!

Here's what the Design Team has for you this week:

Sherri's take on our challenge was to use a lot of yellow to represent light, as well as a quote about ones inner light. The fabric hexagons are from last year and the Crate Paper border strips and cardstock stickers are a few years old. The most hoarded item, though, is the resin flower, which has avoided being used for almost 3 years!

Stephanie used papers from her collection and most were scrap pieces. Plus, she pulled out her Silhouette for this project, which tends to get forgotten (do you think it's hidden under her other crafty stuff?).

Danielle used a Simple Stories pocket and embellished it with their summer collection last year to create this adorably cute summer card.

Stacey created this just "beachy" card with two different stamp sets - both unused before this challenge AND almost 2 yeras old!! Love the embellishments on those flip flops!

Nicole found an uninked Unity stamp for her beautful summer card. The star embellishments also come from her hoarded stash.

Tracy has had this patterned paper kit for almost 5 years. It wasn't quite her style, so she never used it, but found inspiration in today's challenge. The flowers and glitter leaves also came from her stash of goodies.

Heather celebrated the arrival of summer with a layout documenting the first BBQ of the season. All the papers came from her stash and have been around for several years. The flower and button are also forgotten odds and ends collected over the years.

The Use It Tuesday team wants to send a shout-out to one of our members who wasn't feeling much sunshine this week. Tammy lives in an area of Canada that has been heavily hit with flooding this week. Heather also has family in the same area. Both families are okay, but many families have been displaced and the area has experienced much heartbreak over the past week. Some areas will take a long time to recover. While you create your projects, please send a little sunshine their way. They could use it to help dry things out! Here's our first ray of sunshine for them, 16-month-old Claire's first crafty project. The flowers will come again, Calgary.

Now, find your sunshine and Use It!!
