Challenge #62: Trends

Welcome to another fantastic Tuesday, Users!

This week, we're celebrating one of the things that makes a crafty stash grow faster than anything else....TRENDS. Yes, that's right, once it becomes popular, we all need one....or twelve!

So please, use your craft supplies that you have because "everyone else did"!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Please link up using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday September 6, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE062 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Let's check out what our Design Team created this week:

Tracy chose to use washi tape on  her project. It's been trendy for a couple of years now, which is probably how long she's been collecting it! This tape is one of the first rolls she purchased about 2 years ago.

Rachel also used washi tape, but also made a shaped card, which have been popular for awhile. In addition, she dove into her crafty stash one more time to come up with an un-inked stamp for this challenge.

Becky worked with trendy triangles on her beautiful fall layout. She also pulled from her stash the fall paper from last autumn and the brown thickers.

Jessica A used inks and chipboard letters to make this cool background. She placed the chipboard letters under the page and then rubbed the inks over the top. The letters are over 4 years old, but the frames and brads also make the "use it up" category.

Anyone else been making explosion boxes lately? Valentina has! She made this beautiful one from old Crate Paper. The beautiful cake in the middle was handmade with paper. Gorgeous!

Jessica B used doilies and enamel dots on her "trendy" layout. This is a trend that has really "stuck" with Jessica; readers of her blog will know that she's in love with them! The large dot paper is also about a year old and the striped paper is a couple of years old. The real winner is that photo, which has been sitting in the "must scrap" pile since 2007!

Tammy's trend is the chalkboard look. The Designer Paper is from her stash box and has been around for awhile. The stamp she got a couple of years ago, as well as the star punch. She also found some white ink and white embossing powder in her stash that helped to complete the look.

Last up for this week is Nicole who noticed that paper strips on layouts seem to be making themselves popular. She added hers to the bottom of the page. She also used triangles and thickers, also popular craft stash purchases.

That's it for this week, so go Use It!!
